This Charleston photography workshop at River Oaks was the dreamiest! One of our favorite things about being in this industry is the creativity and collaborative nature of those around me. It truly amazes me what we’ve been able to create with some of our favorites this year.

Charleston Photography Workshop

This shoot was dreamt up as a photography workshop for Meghan Baskin. She, Dani with Salt and Stem, and our team got to bring to life an invite focused on love and celebration inspired by the artist Claude Monet.

If you’ve ever stood before a Monet, you know the feeling we were going for. His work captured nature as he saw it. He captured lighting and natural forms in such a beautiful, awe-inspiring way, so we tried to implement a similar mindset, having the floral arrangements in a natural form as if they were meant to bloom there.

The Details

River Oaks was the most stunning location for all of the details to come together. Being at River Oaks almost feels like being in Monet’s French garden. With European influences, architecture, climbing roses, and water views, being there feels like being transported to Giverny.

The linen pattern from Nuage Designs reminded us of many of Monet’s Water Lilies paintings, and we loved the Monique Lhuillier gown. Salt and Stem created a gorgeous ceremony arbor, and the bouquet was one of the dreamiest. We loved the whimsical feel of the bouquet and table decor. A beautifully put-together table is our specialty here at Carters Event Co.

To work with creatives in a collaborative way where our creativity has no cap is always a favorite. Meghan documented the day beautifully, and we loved the bride and groom portraits around the property. This day was truly a dream, and we are excited to share the images with you all.
